A Message from the Director of The Colonial British Indian Cuisine™
The safety and well-being of our people and community, including our valued guests and fans, will always be our highest priority. Our commitment remains the same and we are monitoring news and official websites to ensure we maintain all measures and compliance's, as set out by the Australian government. We are taking every step necessary to ensure everyone is safe.
In these increasingly uncertain times, more challenges will be faced and I wanted to personally let you know about the measures and precautions, including policies and procedures we have implemented across our restaurants to ensure your health and safety when you interact with any of our restaurants and teams.
EVERYONE’S HEALTH & SAFETY IS IMPORTANT
We all play a vital role in ensuring the health and safety of each other during this challenging time. A balanced approach without panic and fear has allowed us to make sensible decisions and take real actions that will allow us all to feel comfortable and safe. Our restaurants and operations have been altered to as per guidance received by health authorities and government officials.
HYGIENE ENFORCED FOR EVERYONE’S SAFETY
Our restaurants have always and continue to enforce strict hygiene policies and procedures, from kitchen cleaning to sanitisation and cleansing. We’ve now increased our practices and regularly sanitize all surfaces, bars, benches, door handles, rails, equipment, EFTPOS machines, tables, chairs, menus, bill folders -the works. As you may know, dine-in is no longer available however take away and home delivery remain open in both our restaurant locations.
CHANGES TO HOME DELIVERY ORDERS
No contact delivery is available for all our guests ordering direct through our website. You clean leave notes in the order advising if you wish your order to place at your doorstep for you to collect. Rest assured, our drivers too are regularly washing and sanitizing their hands, bags, steering wheel, door handles and devices. They are also now required to wear disposable food-safe gloves whilst carrying out deliveries which are replaced after every run.
This option is now favoured by a lot of our valued guests and we are still offering you 30% OFF home delivery when you order directly through our website (min spend of $50 applies). The discount is automatically applied to your order, without the need to add any codes or coupons.
CHANGES FOR PICK-UP/TAKEAWAY GUESTS
If you have ordered online and selected Pick-Up for your order, please note our team will have your order placed on a table or bench. It is recommended you order and pay online (you’ll also get 30% OFF if you spend $50 or more) so that no further handling is needed between you and the staff member. Please do kindly observe any notices and signage placed within the restaurant you are visiting.
WE’RE KEEPING A BALANCED APPROACH BY STAYING UP TO DATE WITH HEALTH AUTHORITIES AND GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS.
Our senior management team is meeting daily to monitor developments and keep the restaurants, their operations, staff and guests at the forefront of our decisions on keeping everyone supported and in a safe environment.
We all play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of anyone that interacts with our restaurants.
SUPPORTING YOUR LOCAL RESTAURANT AND COMMUNITY
During these uncertain times, we kindly and honourably ask you to continue to support your local restaurant, whom in turn supports your local community and employment. We’ve extended some great deals and offers to ensure you get more value for your money from home delivery and take away orders when you place them online directly via our website. Best of all, you can place orders from your couch at home – safe and sound!
THANK YOU FOR YOUR CONTINUED SUPPORT FOR THE COLONIAL BRITISH INDIAN CUISINE RESTAURANTS.
